Abbotsley Golf Club - Abbotsley Course

The Abbotsley Course is a real gem. It isn't quite long enough to be a true championship course for modern men! But who really wants to flog round 7,000 yards - especially on holiday? Alternative Golf Performance Studio - Ingol Village Golf Club

Dean Beaver started playing golf at the age of 11, picking up a second hand mixed set of golf clubs from a second hand shop in Silloth whilst away with his family. He instantly fell in love with the game but it wasn't until the age of 15 however that he decided he wanted to make a living from golf professionally. Dean studied at Myerscough College after school, as well as working at a local golf superstore part time, through this period and onward Dean's playing credentials grew. He picked up various honours through his then local golf club, captained scratch league events and competed with success at many top local amateur events over the years. Having finished his studies he moved on to an assistant’s role in a new golf store, here he gained an immense amount of experience - not only in retail but also in the coaching role. Dean’s attended many custom fitting courses, gaining numerous accreditations from major manufacturers, He's attended PGA courses and gained Applied a Sports Science qualification also. Excelling in performance and coaching modules, as well as techniques of golf tuition, sports psychology and biological sciences. Dean and his team of coaches have worked alongside a number of highly respected PGA golf coaching specialists and it's through working with these industry leaders that he has developed a sound understanding of the golf swing and its principles. They have vigorously studied the best golf coaches and players today to help continue their understanding of the game and build on their own personal development. Experience and continued learning has helped the coaches focus on the theories behind the golf swing, which in turn is now helping all abilities of golfer from beginner to county level improve.

Beadlow Manor Golf Club

Beadlow Manor Hotel and Golf Club is set in 307 acres of Bedfordshire countryside and is one of only two golf courses in the county with 36 holes of golf. The Baroness golf course measures 6,098 yards (5,434 yards from the Ladies tees) yards from the competition tees, the Baron course is the more challenging golf course and measures 6,618 (5,986 from the Ladies tees) yards from the competition tees. Bradley Preston

Bradley qualified as a PGA Golf Professional in 1994 after spending 3 years as a student at Kingston University studying an HND in Golf Studies alongside his PGA Qualifications. This meant he was more qualified than the average Golf Professional to embark on his career in Golf and he has certainly made use of his knowledge over the past 23 years. He started his journey as an Assistant Professional at Chadwell Springs Golf Club in Hertfordshire where he stayed for a year. From here, Bradley joined Fairlop Waters in Essex where he was attached as a PGA Assistant for six months. He then attained the Head professional position/Director of golf. During this time Bradley started to build his reputation as first class golf instructor. Six years later Bradley joined the Team at Hainault Forest Golf complex. Bradley managed the club for 5 years helping grow the club into one of the busiest golf clubs in England. Bradley was still growing his reputation as a coach, during this time he started to coach many different types of people from everyday people to celebrities, young aspiring tour pro’s to US PGA tour pro’s. In 2007 Bradley moved to Woolston Manor Golf & Country Club becoming the Director of Golf/Head Professional. Whilst here Bradley started his own Golf Academy and Professional Golf shop for all the members and guest to enjoy. In 2011 bradley joined TopGolf in Chigwell as the Head Professional responsible for running the academy. In 2009 Bradley coached US PGA Tour player Brian Davis at The Children’s Miracle Classic Tournament at Disney in Florida helping Brian to finish 6th and moving him to 58th in FEDEX CUP standings. Bradley has also caddied for Brian on many occasions on the European Tour and US PGA Tour gaining what it's like inside the ropes.2013 Bradley started to coach llyod Kennedy who plays on the challenge tour ,helping Llyod to many of his victories throughout his career. . Head Professional Craig Watson Craig offers golf lessons to visitors and members alike. Craig is now one of the Cambridge Golf Partnership senior coaches and coach to the CAGU under 16 & 14 squad. Lessons are available indoors, on the practice ground and on the golf course. Craig is also the chairman of the CAGU junior golf. Craig's lessons are very simple and effective and you will always leave with a great deal of information and drills to help your game. Craig believes that you can't teach a method to all players so his philosophy is to adapt to his coaching to suit each individual.

Both courses wind through tree lined areas but the Phoenix has a more open middle section to allow players a bit of freedom.

Dan has been a passionate golfer since the age of 12, He turned Professional in 2010 off a handicap of +2. Once Professional he competed on numerous Tours around England. In 2014 Dan moved to Australia for 2 years to gain Worldwide experience. During this 2 years he competed on the PGA Tour of Australasia whilst working within the Golf Industry in Australia. Dan still competes regularly on numerous Tours, using his knowledge of playing he can teach you how to lower your scores and get the most out of each round. Dans coaching philosophy is to understand what the pupils goals are. Once these have been established a program can be designed to reach the pupils goal. " I get great satisfaction is seeing Pupils achieve what they thought was unachievable."

David Mackinnon

Chorlton-cum-Hardys's Head professional David Mackinnon joined the professional team in 2012 having spent 12 years at Didsbury Golf Club. David represented both Lancashire and England at amateur level then played on the Europro and Challenge Tour winning several times as a professional and is a familiar face on the Manchester golf scene. A respected coach having worked with some of the Worlds leading coaches David brings with him a wealth knowledge and experience within his profession. Thomas Rowland is a fully qualified PGA Professional with extensive knowledge of the swing mechanics. Thomas uses the state of the are technology to assess your swing and help to improve your game in all areas.

Downfield Golf Club

Downfield is quite rightly recognised as one of the finest inland course in the United Kingdom. It has played host to many events over its long history. In the past tournaments like the S.P.G.A. Scottish Open, Scottish Amateur, British Girls Home Internationals, but it was the great honour of being a Final Qualifying venue for the Open Championship at Carnoustie in 1999 and again in 2007 that has put Downfield Golf Club rightly, near the top of the tree as a golfing destination.When visiting our local golfing greats, St Andrews and Carnoustie, you are never more than 25 minutes from Downfield, so don't miss out on adding this great course to your visit. Set in beautiful parkland, Dundee's premier course is a challenge to every golfer teeing off at the wonderful 1st hole and moving round the rolling contours of the course. The wildlife on the course is breathtaking with foxes, squirrels, deer, water fowl, ducks and buzzards, as well as many other interesting species scampering around. With fantastic scenery, a huge variety of holes, the feeling that the course is a million miles from civilisation and so many different species of tree within the perimeter, it is no wonder people remember their visit long after they have gone away. There are a wide variety of challenges at Downfield with some water in play on no fewer than 7 holes. There are 5 par fives, from the championship tees and the 11th is one of the finest holes you will ever play.

Originally constructed in 1907 by the famous course designer JH Taylor, our course has stood the test of time with a revised layout being introduced in 1970 once the Downs - 'moved up top' to our present Clubhouse location. We aim to ensure the course remains as natural as possible, complementing the surrounding South Downs National Park. Our course offers a unique challenge as a traditional downland course, playing like a links course, whether beginner or master the course offers the right challenge - All year round. We have hosted the Amateur Open, and recently the EGU National Amateur Championship. What better place to learn the game and develop your skills.
